The conference brings together representatives of the Government, Local Public Administration, but also of the local business community and civil society in an attempt to develop a strategic partnership to support entrepreneurial development in Romania. The conference is organized in two panels, the first dedicated to public policies and programmes, the second focusing on private initiatives of entrepreneurial development. The agenda includes the following topics: The role of Government in promoting private iniative and entrepreneurial culture as a factor in economic development Public policies and programmes dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship What are the results of such policies / programmes? Are they efficient? Which are the concrete objectives set by the public authorities to enhance the promotion of entrepreneurship and to stimulate business development in the next period? Which is the role of the Structural Funds in supporting entrepreneurship in Romania? Examples of private projects of entrepreneurship development in Romania, financed through Structural Funds. What do the statistics say about the evolution of the number of entrepreneurs and which are the most attractive sectors for developing small enterprises in Romania? Which are the main obstacles in developing entrepreneurship in Romania and how can the private sector eliminate them? Private initiatives for encouraging entrepreneurship and promoting entrepreneurial culture How can local entrepreneurial development contribute to diminish the negative effects of the present global context?

Romanian most active students associations, such as: ASER-Asociatia Studentilor Economisti din Romania, AIESEC, VIP-Business Club, BEST Bucuresti, BOS-Business Organization for Students Romania si Clubul Leaderii Mileniului Trei, are invited to present their point of view regarding the role of entrepreneurship among students, their own activities on the subject, as well as their results and impact on participating young people. We expect a high interest in this event having in view the considerable number of existent facilities –(simplified procedures for setting up new companies, fiscal facilities in certain sectors of activity, financing opportunities, more and more attractive bank products etc.), as well as the special receptivity of young people when it comes to taking an initiative, innovating, setting-up new businesses.

GEA Strategy & Consulting invites entrepreneurship teachers from the most important university centers in Romania to openly debate on, among others, the current entrepreneurship in their own university center, the main issues to be improved, its impact on the fellow students-participants and the opportunity to propose national curricula on entrepreneurship at high education level. Another main issue of the event is the set-up of the Romanian National Entrepreneurship Teachers Network (RoNetNet) (Reteaua Nationala a Profesorilor de Antreprenoriat din Romania - RNPAR).
