Event Description:
African Caribbean Women Entrepreneurs in Greater Manchester will be participating in Action Learning Set (3 out of 6). The sets have been organised to provide a safe place for females to discuss the challenges of self employment. Participants will be given a confidential space to work on and through organisational/individual issues. Each session will work on real problems. Situations in which "I am part of the problem and the problem is part of me." The group setting enables entrepreneurs to work together to check individual perceptions, clarify issues and explore alternatives for action. Each participant will be encouraged to focus on learning, not only about the issue being tackled but also on what is being learned about oneself. This is essential to turn developing understanding into learning that can be transferred to other situations. Action Learning is popular as it provides the balance of support and challenge that enables each person to manage themselves and others more effectively.
