Event Description:
M.Y Chance Club is opened to any youths and they will be given the chance to learn the various aspects of business taught by qualified personals or institutions, attend business talks, seminars and run small businesses. With a social responsibility focus, the club will embark on small business projects regularly to fund charities/beneficiaries of their choice as well as to fund club members’ enrichment fees so as to upgrade their business skills and personal development. Youths-4 Charity Flea Market

Event Description:
Youths-4 Charity Flea market is a competition, targeted at youths at risk from Secondary Schools and ITE with a focus on social entrepreneurship. Teams will be invited to a 5 day session of crash courses in various aspects of running a business. Each team will be required to produce items/ crafts for sale on the flea market. A rental will be charged and teams could borrow money from MYMCA as a start-up capital at a minimal interest rate. Teams would also have to submit a profit and loss statement at the end of the event. The team with the highest profit will win a sponsorship to study and obtain a certificate in Business provided by Arium Education. ‘Secrets of Young Entrepreneurs’ Workshop

Secrets of Young Entrepreneurs (SoYE) is a book that features short stories of 8 successful local young entrepreneurs under the age of 27. Each short story will depict the life of one entrepreneur, the experiences and obstacles that he or she had to overcome in the pursuit for business success, as well as the difficulties that they faced while having to cope with running a business and having to juggle with other responsibilities in life. Each story will attempt to educate and inspire the reader, by putting the reader through the lives of each entrepreneur and allowing them to experience what each entrepreneur experienced in their pursuit for success. The ‘Secrets of Young Entrepreneurs’ Workshop is a 1-day workshop that introduce participants to the Entrepreneur Mindset, the secrets to discovering great opportunities in their environment as well as the essentials of successful marketing. Participants will also learn from case studies of the 8 entrepreneurs featured in Secrets of Young Entrepreneurs. The programme is based on the popular Experience & Earn Enterprise (E³) Programme from Youth Enterprise Academy. As a special treat for all participants, entrepreneurs from the book will also be making an appearance during the programme and will share about their entrepreneurial journey as well as the secrets behind their success in a special forum session at the end of the workshop. The ‘Secrets of Young Entrepreneurs’ Workshop is recommended for participants of age 17 and above who are keen to learn more about the fundamentals of entrepreneurship through interactive activities and personal sharing of local successful young entrepreneurs.
