Event Description:
JOIN US AND SPEEDNETWORK THE GLOBE WITH SILICON VALLEY, STOCKHOLM AND OTHERS Speednetwork the Globe is the first of the two global signature activities for GEW'08. It helsp turn enterprising ideas into reality by building worthwhile connections between people all over the world. Rather htan your typical speednetworking session, this event will be conducted online via chats and video conferencing to connect entrepreneurs in various parts of the world. It will kick off with a week long Google group discussion starting from 17th Nov. The excitement will accumulate to the climax on 22nd Nov with global panel discussions covering from Singapore to Silicon Valley to Stockholm and others. Topics discussed are close at heart to entrepreneurs allowing them to exchange views, ideas and critical market trend information. Supporting the online connections will also include some of the notable technologies from start-ups. Featured speakers: Kevin Walsh (Live from Silicon Valley), Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President for Research and Developmnet at Oracle Corporation, Asia Pacific Division. Technology Commercialisation Forum 2008 (www.nus.edu.sg/ilo/tcf08) is a premier event that brings academia, researchers, industry professionals, investors and entrepreneurs together to examine trends and key issues involved in commercializing inventions in and beyond the emerging economies of Asia. TCF08’s theme is “Innovations for a Better World” and is part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week (http://www.entrepreneurshipweeksg.org), jointly organised by NUS Enterprise and Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE). TCF08 supports the key objectives of encouraging entrepreneurship through technology transfer and will focus on three key areas of Biomedical Sciences, Environmental and Water Technologies (Clean Water and Clean Energy) and Interactive and Digital Media.
