Because Your Idea Matters

images1.jpgSuccessful entrepreneurs are those who turn ideas into actions and actions into services. They are not necessarily old or from a wealthy background. In fact, they may be someone you know — possibly you. Do you want to be a successful entrepreneur? Here are some examples of creative entrepreneurs who came from different backgrounds but ended up in the same position-success. All you need are ideas and motivation.

Take 20-year-old Emily Cummins. While in Africa, she invented a sustainable refrigerator useful for storing temperature-sensitive drugs, such as those used to treat HIV. Her refrigerator does not require a power source, making it a perfect invention for the third world. Cummins is only in her first year at Leeds University, and is working on making several other innovations a reality.

Ali Clabburn, founder of Liftshare.org, developed a car-sharing scheme based on his own experience in university. Liftshare not only helps reduce traveling costs, but helps cut pollution and congestion in the UK. He came up with the idea to cut the cost of his commute from home to school. Basing his idea on German car-sharing networks, he started out with no money at all. Yyou have to have the passion,” Clabburn advised anyone who wants to be successful. “We’re passionate about what we do and totally believe in it.” Yes, it is that simple. Things begin with only passion and ideas.

Want to be another inspiring entrepreneur? “My advice to the budding young entrepreneurs out there is to ask questions and find answers,” said Sinem Ersever, director of marketing company Advericom. “Ambition and stubbornness will get you far in business.” The 27-year-old Turkish businesswoman did not have financial backing when she started out her business. She worked hard and that’s what got her where she is right now. With little business experience and a first language that wasn’t English, she successfully set up her marketing business in London, one of creative media’s most competitive cities.

It doesn’t matter if you are young, have little money, or don’t speak a common language. The first step is believing in yourself and your ideas!
