Brazil means bikini bodies and dark dark tans or….

carnival.jpgBrazil could be the hottest (literally and figuratively?) new place to move for the 20-somethings who want to experience the world, make their mark and be part of a dynamic fast moving economy. Paul Kedrosky brings this up in two of his recent blog posts– one on his site and one on as a guest blogger. There are a lot of things to hold one back from moving there (i.e. government corruption, high crime rates and the hot hot heat) but their are also a lot of benefits most of which he mentions, some of which he forgets— girls who look like Giselle Bundchen, should probably be added, as should teeny bikinis, the existence of the Amazon, Carnival, wonderful beaches and an all around jovial people.

Interestingly enough, the feedback on his posting also listed places like Canada, Dubai, Inner India and Australia. Each country received a far share of pro and con response postings which leads me to wonder further if there is one country that far outweighs others as a place for aspiring 20 somethings to move. Brazil could be the real response, but what about other new growth markets i.e Croatia or increasing powerhouses i.e. China?

Considering that we have so many countries involved in the Week, I would like to challenge everyone (host, partners, participants, etc) to respond. Tell me what makes your country the place to move to? As a reference point, I am a 20 something and if I had to pick a place right this second I would move to Spain for its people, its culture and its vineyards. However, this argument is not rationally argued nor is it based on economic dynamism or growth potential. So tell me why I shouldn’t move to Spain and why I should move to __________. I’d love to devote whole blog postings to your country and its powers of attraction.

I think it is always a great idea to somehow involve other countries who suffer from lagging economies and share the wealth of knowledge and ideas to help better sustain other coumtrie’s economies. The market is turning more global than ever before and there are many “shared resources” entrepreneurs can begin to use once making initial contact. Not to mention the wonderful benefits of traveling abroad in such a beautiful country as Brazil.
