Stop–the reading is hurting my eyes!

earthworks.jpgSo you may be inundated with hundreds of emails a day, crazy assignments and in general piles of reading. I know I am. Sometimes its nice to just look at a picture and understand everything you need to know.

The organizers of Earthworks 2008, probably believing agreeing with my above point, hosted a global cartoon competition. They believe that art and humour are simple ways to raise awareness of global warming and in general, get the message across. In the past year, they had hundreds of individuals submit cartoons dealing with the message of global warming from a variety of countries: Brazil, China, England, Burma, Romania and China. Each person had a unique view on how climate change was effecting their environment and the world. The winner “Coat Star” by Mikhail Zlatkovsky from Russia, shown here, “held a particularly poignant message, the judges felt, showing humanity in the form of a man indecently exposing himself to a pristine universe.” (The Independent, 2008)

By the way, I think it would be cool if you submit visual depictions of entrepreneurship/innovation and I’ll post them on the site! Email me at klibby (at) unleashingideas (dot) com.

A picture is worth a 1000 words! And nowadays a picture is worth 1,000,000 words.
