Podcasts: The Easiest Way to Learn

July 10, 2008 | Posted by: kristina

Hey guys. Now regardless if you are an expert or beginner you’re probably like me: you want topodcast find out more about entrepreneurship and sometimes you can’t resist a great story about an innovative entrepreneur. Yet the problem for you and I is that we are busy!! I mean super busy. We don’t have time between work, school, home, friends, family, travel, conferences, watching The Daily Show, or whatever else, to sit down and read articles. But there’s an answer for busy people like us: podcasts!

Podcasts are maybe the easiest and most time effective way to learn about entrepreneurship. I-tunes features a variety of great podcasts and even lectures by business entrepreneurial leaders (Google, Chevron, Kauffman Foundation) in the I-tunes U section. And they are by definition completely free. These podcasts range from about 5 to 50 minutes and provide a great easy bite sized way to learn about entrepreneurship through lectures, interviews, stories, etc.

Think of how much time you spend in transit between work, classes, and running errands. Since I’ve started listening to podcasts, I go through almost 50 minutes of information every day listening or watching different podcasts while in transit. So when everyone looks bored and mad at the world on the subway, walking to class, or traveling across campus, there I am entertained and learning.

Note: The following are not all going to work for you, pick one or two and that sound interesting to begin with. Bookmark this blog as I will update with more podcasts that I have begun investigating lately.

As one of the managers of USAGC (www.USAGC.org) we know that one of the best things is learning English.
English as the leading international language will help you move forward in your life.

You should add Cornell eClips podcasts (http://eclips.cornell.edu/podcastEntry.do) to the list. There are some really great ones on the site that are not on iTunesU.
