The program started in 2006 and has had one graduating class, with another in progress. Students in this year’s class have developed businesses selling custom party bags, photography, and novelty products.
The program has lengthy requirements and seems to be a consuming endeavor. However, the chance to begin your own business while still in the safety of a classroom appears priceless. What could be better than being pushed to succeed while still having the room to fail? Encouraging students to succeed is pivotal to pushing innovation. As young people we offer new perspectives and fresh voices. Allowing people these opportunities to create business will only enhance their ability to be more entrepreneurial and more innovative.
