I had the pleasure of meeting Jonathan Greenblatt, founder of Ethos Water, today and listening to a lecture he delivered on the concept of social entrepreneurship. While I will blog tomorrow on the his lecture, I wanted to post this following exchange.

Me: If there is one piece of advise you could give to youth entrepreneurs engaged in Global Entrepreneurship Week who are looking to start ethical brands, what would it be?

Jonathan Greenblatt (said with ferocious speed and enthusiasm): “Just do it. Dont abide by conventions and the bottom line. Focus on the short run as we are all dead in the long run. Don’t listen to business school advice. There are no constraints on what you can do. Think across disciplines and across fields. Don’t let anything hold you back. Just go out there and do it”

Inspiring, eh? There is good reason I couldn’t keep that bottled up for another day!
