fashion.jpgBrenden, here at Global Entrepreneurship Week HQ, likes to remind me that this isn’t a fashion blog. I, being a little smarter than he gives me credit for, know this (have you seen articles about leggings or Fashion Week? Not yet). Yet, while I spend all day reading blogs about entrepreneurship, interacting with aspiring entrepreneurs, looking at videos on YouTube about innovation, I keep stumbling upon fashion articles, fashionistas and fashion shows.

No More Sundance??

From Here to AwesomeI have no idea what goes into the making of a film; although, I’m sure it requires exorbitant amounts of time and energy. Naively, I thought once all that effort was put into the film, people would just buy it and then the film-maker would receive bundles of money. Unfortunately, it appears that that is not the case- filmmakers don’t receive bundles (ever) and movies aren’t just bought……

The Bermuda Triangle of Trash

Rubber DuckieSomewhere in the northern Pacific Ocean, a mass of plastic is slowly rotating in a current called the North Pacific Gyre. If you could walk on this thing, you would be hiking an area equivalent to the state of Texas. It sits just below the water’s surface, evades most attempts at aerial photographic documentation (so there’s no easy way to determine its exact size), and provides a deadly buffet for confused sea life from whales to zooplankton.
