Think Globally, Act Locally
Earlier this week myself and couple other members of the Global Entrepreneurship Week team flew to Houston, Texas to facilitate a town hall for U.S. Congressman Nick Lampson on entrepreneurship and economic development in his district. At the meeting we made sure to let all the participants know about Global Entrepreneurship Week and encouraged them to visit www.unleashingideas.org to learn more about the Week.
Part of the outreach we have done to get the word out about the Week has been through government officials and notable politicians. We have met with a number of U.S. Congressman to discuss Global Entrepreneurship Week/USA, entrepreneurship and economic development in their districts. Additionally, the U.S. Department of Commerce, the White House and the U.S. Department of State have all released statements of support for Global Entrepreneurship Week.
